This technique is mainly recommended when straightening plants or when root balls are not sufficiently stable. For smaller specimens, the use of a belt strap helps prevent shear injuries.

Installation is simple, fast and reliable, and allows the staking of plants ranging from 2 to 25 metres in height.

    Description:

Tree staking (cabling and bracing) is a technique used to stabilise trees that show signs of structural weakness, such as fragile branches, split trunks or damaged roots. It involves attaching cables or metal rods to the branches or trunk to reinforce the tree structure and reduce the risk of falling or breakage.

The guying systems are usually secured to strong anchors, such as steel stakes driven into the ground at a certain distance from the tree. The cables or rods are then fixed to the branches or trunk using appropriate fastening devices. This method helps distribute mechanical stress more evenly across the tree, reducing pressure on weak points and lowering the risk of failure.

Tree guying is commonly used when trees have been damaged by strong winds, storms, diseases, pests or other environmental factors. It can also be used preventively for trees with weak structure or branches prone to breaking.

It is important to note that guying does not repair structural issues within the tree itself, but provides temporary support and helps prevent potential accidents. In some cases, additional measures such as pruning or root reinforcement may be required to ensure long-term tree health and safety. It is recommended to consult a qualified arborist to assess the need for guying and to install and maintain the system properly.
