Drain Base: drainage tile for artificial grass and rooftop terraces

The Drain Base drainage tile has been designed to optimise rainwater management beneath artificial grass surfaces. Acting as a technical interface between the sub-base and the artificial turf, it improves water drainage, protects underlying surfaces and contributes to the long-term durability of outdoor landscaping projects.

Particularly suited to rooftop terraces, roof gardens, balconies and landscaped areas, Drain Base helps create comfortable, stable and highly permeable surfaces.

Efficient rainwater management

Thanks to its engineered design, the Drain Base tile provides rapid rainwater drainage and helps prevent the formation of standing water beneath artificial grass installations.

With a drainage capacity of up to 30 litres of water per square metre, it is an ideal solution for projects requiring effective stormwater management, particularly on rooftop terraces and impermeable surfaces.

Manufactured from recycled materials

Drain Base is produced from 100% recycled HDPE and remains fully recyclable at the end of its service life. This design supports a circular economy approach and sustainable development objectives, in line with the environmental commitments of the Plantco Group.

Excellent load distribution

Its unique inverted grid structure distributes loads efficiently across the supporting surface whilst maintaining excellent mechanical strength. The nine integrated flexible zones within each tile also help accommodate minor surface irregularities whilst ensuring optimal contact with the substrate.

Enhanced stability for artificial grass

Each Drain Base tile is equipped with 1,010 anti-slip studs measuring 2 mm in height, helping to secure the artificial grass in place without damaging the fibres. This design improves the stability and longevity of the installation, even in areas subject to regular use.
